Privacy Policy

Kashi Tiles is a calm block puzzle: clear rows and columns to reveal Persian tilework. There is no account, no login, and no advertising. Your progress stays on your device; the app sends only the anonymous usage counts and crash reports described below.
What Stays On Your Device
Your puzzle progress, the pictures you have collected, and your settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to us.
iCloud
How you group the Puzzles page follows you across your own devices through Apple’s iCloud key-value storage, along with a single marker that you have started the daily quest, so its welcome (the days of your first medallion before you started, glazed for you) is given only once. That is all it holds, kept in your own iCloud account and covered by Apple’s privacy policy; we cannot see it. Without iCloud it simply stays on the device.
The same marker is also kept in your device’s Keychain, so it stays if you delete and reinstall the app. It never leaves your device and says nothing about you.
Photos
When you save a picture or sticker you have collected, the app asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It can only add pictures; it cannot see or read your existing photos.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. The app only checks with Apple whether the unlock was bought, and remembers it on your device.
Location
The app does not request or access your device location.
Anonymous Usage Analytics
The app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, an analytics tool, so we can tell which puzzles are too hard or too easy. The events are: the app was opened (and, once, that it was opened for the first time), a level was won, a level ended with no room left, a whole puzzle was completed, a collected picture was saved to Photos, the last free level was won, the unlock was bought, a part of the daily quest was won or ended with no room left, the app left the screen (with how many seconds it was open), and an update prompt was shown.
These events carry only game facts: which picture and which level, the puzzle’s grid size and difficulty, the play mode (Classic or Unveil), how many seconds the level took, how many levels the puzzle has, whether the unlock has been bought and how many free puzzles and levels are left, how far this month’s medallion is (which part and day, how many tiles are glazed, whether it is complete and its sticker won), or which update prompt was shown. Every event also says which language the app is shown in. They are not linked to a name, an email address, or an account, because none of those exist in the app. We do not use advertising identifiers, there is no session recording, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Crash Reporting
The app sends crash and error reports to Sentry so we can fix what breaks. A report contains the device model, the operating system version, the app version, and an anonymised stack trace. Reports are configured to exclude IP addresses and other identifying request data, and they do not include screenshots of the app. For a sample of sessions it also sends anonymous timings of how long parts of the app take, so we can find what is slow. If the version check below fails every time it is tried, the app sends one warning saying so, with no information about you.
Network Requests
The app checks with our server, amirlabs.app, for the minimum supported app version, so it can tell you when an update is required or available. This request contains no personally identifiable information and is not stored as an event.
Data Sharing And Retention
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites. The only third parties that receive anything are the service providers named above, acting on our behalf: PostHog (anonymous analytics) and Sentry (crash reports). Their own policies are at posthog.com/privacy and sentry.io/privacy. They keep this anonymous data under their standard retention periods.
Your Choices
Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is normally nothing to request or delete. You can stop all analytics and crash reporting by deleting the app.
