We built Parsio to teach Persian, not to learn about you. This policy describes exactly what the app and this website measure, and why.

Overview

Parsio is an educational app that teaches the Persian language (the alphabet, sounds, colors, and words). It is made for learners of any age. There is no account, no login, and no registration. We never ask for your name, an age, a birthday, a photo, or a contact list, and the app has no user-generated content, no chat, no social features, and no advertising.

We do collect a small amount of anonymous information about how the app is used and whether it is crashing. That information is not tied to an identity and cannot be traced back to you. The rest of this page explains it in full.

What Stays On Your Device

Your learning progress is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to us: which lessons are done, which chapter you are on, and your settings.

Location

The app does not request or access your device location.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

The app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, an analytics tool, so we can tell which lessons work and which ones people abandon. The events are things like: the app was opened, the welcome flow was finished, a lesson was started or completed, a quiz answer was right or wrong, and a setting was changed.

These events carry a lesson or setting identifier and nothing else. They are not linked to a name, an email address, or an account, because none of those exist in the app. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Crash Reporting

The app sends crash and error reports to Sentry so we can fix what breaks. A report contains the device model, the operating system version, the app version, and an anonymised stack trace. Reports are configured to exclude IP addresses and other identifying request data.

A crash report may also include a screenshot and view hierarchy of the app screen at the moment of the crash. Because Parsio has no text input anywhere in the app, such a screenshot can only ever show lesson content, never anything you typed.

Network Requests

The app checks with our server for the minimum supported app version, so it can tell you when an update is required or available. This request contains no personally identifiable information.

This Website

The support, privacy, and terms pages on amirlabs.app are sometimes opened from inside the app. Those pages measure page views, roughly how long a page was open, the approximate country the visit came from (derived from the IP address, which we do not store as part of the event), the type of device, and which in-page links were used.

To keep those counts honest across visits, an anonymous random identifier is stored in your browser’s local storage. It contains no personal information, sets no cookies, and is not shared with anyone. These pages deliberately run a reduced form of analytics: there is no session recording, no automatic capture of clicks or typing, and no replay of anything entered into the support form.

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, the website collects nothing at all.

The Support Form

If you choose to write to us through the support form, we receive the email address and the message you type, delivered through Resend, our email provider. We use them only to reply to you.

The contents of your message and your email address are never sent to our analytics. We record only that a message was submitted, which app it was about, whether it was sent from inside the app or from the web, and a coarse size band for the message (for example “50-200 characters”).

Children

Parsio is a general-audience app rather than one aimed specifically at children, but it is simple enough that younger learners use it too, so it is built to be safe for them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The anonymous analytics and crash reports described above contain no personal information, no contact details, and no identifiers that would let anyone be recognised. There is no advertising, no in-app purchasing, no social feature, and no external link presented inside the app.

If a child has written to us through the support form and you would like that message deleted, contact us and we will remove it.

Data Sharing And Retention

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. The only third parties that receive anything are the service providers named above, acting on our behalf: PostHog (anonymous analytics), Sentry (crash reports), and Resend (support email delivery). Their own policies are at posthog.com/privacy, sentry.io/privacy, and resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by those providers under their standard retention periods. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to answer you.

Your Choices

Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is normally nothing to request or delete. You can stop all app analytics and crash reporting by deleting the app, stop website analytics by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser, and simply not use the support form if you would rather not send us your email address. If you have written to us and want that email deleted, ask and we will delete it.
